Dedicated to the memory of Hugh Aldridge

This site is a tribute to Hugh Aldridge. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

A celebration of Hugh Aldridge's life

The Memorial service is at Canterbury Cathedral Crypt on Thursday 16th May 2024 at 2pm.

Please dress to celebrate Hugh's life, no black is required, and relevant sporting or cricket ties would be encouraged!

You are warmly invited you to share in further memories of Hugh, after the service, at The Kings College Sports Pavilion (please see details below).

Family would appreciate, please, an RSVP via the email rememberinghughaldridge@gmail.com if you are planning on attending the memorial service and/or reception.

Parking in Canterbury can be tricky, however there will be 40-50 car parking spaces at Birleys. Family would encourage a car share and for people to offer lifts from the Cathedral to Birleys for those less mobile than others. Alternatively, it is an approximately 15 minute walk.

The nearest car parks to the Cathedral are:
St Radigunds - CT1 2AA (roughly equidistant between the Cathedral and Birleys)
Queningate - 21 Lower Bridge Street CT1 2HG
Whitefriars - 16 Watling Street CT1 2UA

Family flowers only please. If you would like to make a donation, in memory of Hugh, please use the link below to donate to either the Kent Wildlife Trust or Cricket Without Boundaries. Please send cheques, payable to your chosen charity c/o Hadaway & Denton at 41-43 Upper Denmark Road, Ashford, Kent TN23 7TZ.
